ABOUT NATALIE

Art and Design have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was 5 years old I recall waking up in the middle of the night feeling compelled to change my room. I would start rearranging my furniture in the dark- much to the dismay of my mother! As an older child I would draw and paint for hours and hours. Within the next few years I was designing “cat condos”, dollhouses and even go-carts!

By the time I entered High School I discovered I had a love for colored pencils, paint and clay. These mediums allowed me to pursue my passions and obtain degrees in Interior Design and Art in college. One of the benefits of being a part of the design program at Middle Tennessee State University was that I became certified in both Commercial and Residential Interior Design.

Throughout my professional career I have worked at a commercial design firm, sold custom window treatments at department stores and owned an interior design franchise. When I became a mother of two, I started seeking out flexible, freelance opportunities. I learned the picture framing industry, created store front window displays and did retail merchandising. To my delight, this lead to room makeovers and real estate staging that I still enjoy providing for my clients today!

As an adult, I have always stayed involved in artistic endeavors as well. I adore exploring new art mediums and utilizing discarded objects & furniture in art assemblages. I have created and run children’s art and design programs, headed up committees at my local art fair, and was a selected artist for Wings in the City, St. Louis (benefiting BJC’s pediatric hospice care program). Currently I provide art studio “play-days” and art retreats for adults.

Out of all my various artistic activities grew my current business- Creative Endeavors in 2007. This business has been so fun and fulfilling! Whether its designing lovely Interiors for residential homes, or creating unique, immersive, installation art sets for the community- I truly enjoy bringing ideas to life!
